Town & Country Magazine
Best Co-Ed Fashion Boutique: This boutique opened in 2008 by hisand-wife team Thomas and Erin Ribeiro. The store is more than just clothes-it's an environment worth exploring all by itself; when we saw back issues of Town & Country alongside vintage Kennedy photographs, we didn't want to leave.
The boutique itself is an environment, with objets d'art and whimsical, sometimes historic table displays. Where else would you find a crocodile embossed, limited edition signed copy by famed photographer Jerry Schatzberg featuring classic images of Yves Saint Laurent's 1962 first collection for Christian Dior?
Shop owners Erin and Thomas Ribeiro emblazoned “anglo-indo-waspy” on their boutique walls, and they take this declaration of style to heart, bringing brands like Carven, Charlotte Olympia, and The Row to the city’s Yacht Club set. Beyond the selection—caftans for women and tweed jackets and bright polos for men—the additional perks like in-house tailoring, personal lookbooks, and wardrobe consultation bring the mantra home.
Friends Barbara Boccara and Sharon Krief created their Parisian label Ba&sh with the aim of finding the perfect everyday wardrobe. Modern, feminine and inimitably French, Ba&sh teams up pretty blouses, luxe knitwear and printed skirts in soft cottons, silks and cashmere.
